Brazilian Londoner Milo Tchais’s rhapsodies of swirling form and joyous colour have been setting the streets of London and the wider firmament alight for many years now. Synthesising radiant elements from the natural world with the gently distorting mirror of imagination, his other worldly human forms nestle into an orgy of spiralling abstraction and a landscape of explosive inner space. Silky movement glides trough the figurative prism and lifts layer after layer of texture into a joyous sea of celebration, reflection, exploration and transcendental wanderings trough the third eye.”
London Street-art Design magazine.

'High species' is an exhibition that brings a compilation of Milo's works elected by the artists reflection on space and influenced by current in-sights and art production. He refers to the the " 'canvas' species', the vision, and images, interpreting human specie, that we believe so powerful. What is the limit? In Which levels? the intention is to create a window, if its briefly temporary, where the observer let it go of its consciousness and get lost in colors, and forms that make imagination flow, allowing piece and love to enter. its is a deeper level of experience." Milo Tchais

A self-taught artist which started experimenting with graffiti, lettering, figures and compositions in 1997, living in Sao Paulo, Brazil, until 2001 when he relocated to London. Developing 2D & 3D works, for commissions and exhibitions, workshops, illustrations and designs. Emphasizing in shapes and color contrasts, building layer upon layer of textures, through an abstract figurative approach. Relating to nature, human behaviour, the mind and it’s movements, ways of manifesting, in a simplistic way celebrating the unity of everything and pacifying the viewer with flowing lively compositions.
Mainly working with acrylics and spray paint, never the less his pieces can incorporate metal leafs, inks, and collages in very diverse supports. Not only canvas, linen, wood and walls, but also metal, porcelain, glass and three dimensional objects.
His work has been exhibited extensively in the UK and Brazil, the latest major project being Elephant Parade London 2010, a charitable public art exhibition where his original piece was purchased at his highest sale price to date. It has also featured in previous auctions at Dreweatts.
